  • All abilities and skill levels are welcome
  • Games held Monday evenings
  • Optional clinic for 4th–6th graders who are new to volleyball: Friday, March 6 (evening)
  • Younger grades will have some built-in practice time, but no additional practices outside of game nights
  • Opening night: March 9
  • Season runs six Monday evenings + playoffs (4/27, 4/29 and Championship on 5/2)
  • No games during Edina Public Schools spring break (March 16)

EGAA volleyball is a great option for girls who are new to the sport or simply want a fun, welcoming environment to learn the basics. The league is casual, focused on keeping girls active, building confidence, and enjoying light, friendly competition with their peers.

4th grade: Lil Smashers

5/6th grade: Crushers

7/8th grade: Premier Spikers

Note: Play-Offs will be determined by random draw.

EGAA will not keep track of teams wins and losses during the regular season. Playoff games will be randomly seeded.

Bye: When a team that is not paired in a competition during the early round of a play-off and automatically advances to the second round.

EGAA Volleyball rules have been updated this year to conform to the new standard of "Rally Scoring" currently in use in Volleyball.

Required Concussion Training for ALL Volunteer Coaches

Beginning September 1, 2011, the EGAA is required to provide concussion training for all of our volunteer coaches and board members.  You will watch a short video and then be required to take a quiz.  Once you have completed the quiz, print out your certificate (you may want to make multiple copies).  This training is good for three years and will be required for other sports that you may coach. Please submit your certificate to an EGAA representative.  Your certificate is good for three years.

Thank You!

COACHES MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECK AND ASP TESTING

As part of the Safe Sports Act, the EGAA is required to perform an annual background check for all volunteer coaches and have them complete a training module on mandatory reporting.   These step are required to keep our girls safe and the association in compliance with this new law.

The Registration "2015 Volleyball" is not currently available.
