Edina Girls Athletic Association

EGAA is a GIRLS ONLY program providing girls with an opportunity to participate in a basketball program that combines skill building with an emphasis on fun in a non-competitive environment.

1 night a week and no weekends, with one exception being year end celebration  for registered 2nd- 4th graders on 11/5.

Season Dates:  

2nd Grade 

• Season                                       09/13/2011   to  11/01/2011 
• Tuesday Evenings                      6p.m. 
• The 2nd Grade Program will be Coordinated by MDB - Minnesota Developmental Basketball Lead by Kevin Kelly
• Year End Celebration              9/5/11 (Sat)

3rd / 4th grades

• Regular Season                        09/12/2011  to  11/1/2011
• Monday Evenings                      6 p.m. and 7p.m.
• Year End Celebration               11/05/2011 (Sat)

5th/6th Grades (no longer available 2011 season) 

Fees are $70 for 2nd grade and $100 for 3rd/4th grades.

Welcome to the 2011 Basketball Season...

This years registration Fee includes: 

An EGAA Basketball T-Shirt

An 8 and 9 week season for our 2nd and 3rd/4thGrade programs respectively. 

Enjoy a Season's End Celebration (11/5) and Trophies for all participants in the 2nd-4th Grade  Program. 

A 2 hour clinic on September 1 (2:00-4:00pm- ECC City gym) coordinated and lead by the Minnesota Lynx organization including a Guest appearance by the 2nd Overall Pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft, Monica Wright. 

and 

1 free admission to the Minnesota Lynx vs Chicago Sky with Meal for each girl that registers and a discounted ticket for all parents and family members that would like to participate on September 8th - "Fan Appreciation Night".

EGAA relies on volunteer coaches for our teams! If you are interested in helping please indicate your interest on your child's individual PLAYER REGISTRATION FORM and complete the VOLUNTEER COACHES section of the player on-line registration. THANK YOU!

Background checks: The Edina Park and Recreation Department mandates background checks on all individuals 18 and older who serve as coach, referee or on the Board of Directors in any Edina association. All findings will be kept strictly confidential. There will be a link on the on-line registration.
