Program Description

The primary objective of this program is to HAVE FUN! Flag Football is open to girls entering 4th through 12th grades in the fall. Our program has been designed to give girls an opportunity to learn the basics of football and develop a better appreciation of the game. It is a wonderful experience, a great way to learn the skills of teamwork and a lot of fun.

Flag Football is a NON-CONTACT sport. Velcro flags are worn and pulled off for a “tackle”. Flags and jerseys are provided.  Turf shoes or rubber cleats are recommended. No experience is necessary and EVERYONE plays.

Coaches

EGAA relies on volunteer coaches for our teams! If you are interested in helping please indicate your interest on your child's individual PLAYER REGISTRATION FORM and complete the VOLUNTEER COACHES section of the player on-line registration. If you desire a named or unnamed co-coach, please specify on registration.  THANK YOU!

Volunteer coaches are always needed. If you know a little about football and would like to join our fun, please volunteer to coach.

Mutual Request Policy

EGAA is a volunteer organization.  We strive to balance the teams since often, several grade levels are represented on one team. The EGAA Board does its best to meet the challenge of fair and balanced team formation.  Here are our guidelines:

1.       Each player can request ONE MUTUAL friend.  A picks B, B picks A

2.       We will place daughters with their parent coach.

3.       Coaches requesting a co-coach should be done during registration.

Equipment

Our league uses a junior-sized football.   Game balls are Mikasa F5006.

Players must wear EGAA jerseys.  No jewelry.  Turf shoes are recommended.
