EGAA Flag Football Playoffs - Concession Stand EHS Lacrosse Fundraiser on Oct 12
Hello EGAA Flag Football players!
Flag football playoffs are this Sunday October 12th!
The EHS girls lacrosse team will be running the concession stand at Van Valkenburg from 11:30 pm - 5:00 pm as a fundraiser for their team.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The primary objective of this program is to HAVE FUN! Flag Football is open to girls entering 4th through 12th grades in the fall of 2008. Our program had been designed to give girls an opportunity to learn the basics of football and develop a better appreciation of the game. It is a wonderful experience, a great way to learn the skills of teamwork and a lot of fun.
Flag Football is a NON-CONTACT sport. Velcro flags are worn and pulled off for a “tackle”. Flags and jerseys are provided. (Any girls wearing the EGAA Flag Football jersey to an Edina varsity home football game receives free admission!) Turf shoes or rubber cleats are recommended. No experience is necessary and EVERYONE plays

Games are played on Tuesday evenings at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, or 8:30 pm. The season starts on September 2nd and runs through October 14th, Championship Day. All games are played at VanValkenburg Park. (This does not conflict with the House Basketball Program.)
The leagues are divided by multiple grade levels:
Grades 4/5, Grades 6/7, Grades 8/9, and Grades 10-12
Fees for all grade levels are $55. (A $15 late fee will be added on after the registration deadline.) Refunds: a refund check will be issued minus the cost of online registration and the t-shirt.
Volunteer coaches are always needed. If you know a little about football and would like to join our fun, please volunteer to coach (see below).
REGISTRATION
EGAA Flag Football registration is now closed for the 2008 season. We hope you will register with us for the 2009 season starting in July 2009.

EGAA relies on volunteer coaches for our teams! If you are interested in helping please indicate your interest on your child's individual PLAYER REGISTRATION FORM and complete the VOLUNTEER COACHES section of the player on-line registration. THANK YOU!
- If you are not registering a player, you will need to complete a paper registration. Registration forms are available to print out here and also at the Edina Park & Rec Office in City Hall.
Background check: The Edina Park and Recreation Department mandates background checks on all individuals 18 and older who serve as coach, referee or on the Board of Directors in any Edina association. EGAA has hired Pinnacle Investigations LLC to perform the background checks. All findings will be kept strictly confidential. There will be a link on the on-line registration.
